I don't agree that it's that clear, but it is not surprising these judges came to the decision they did. I think part of the argument was that it wasn't in "common use" but they've been banned since the 30's so yeah, they aren't in common use.

The documentary then shows the activists sitting silently for nine awkward seconds, unable to provide an answer. It then cuts to the next scene. The moment can be watched here:

However, raw audio of the interview between Katie Couric and the activists provided to the Washington Free Beacon shows the scene was deceptively edited. Instead of silence, Couric’s question is met immediately with answers from the activists. A back and forth between a number of the league’s members and Couric over the issue of background checks proceeds for more than four minutes after the original question is asked.

I'd read Kupari's two collaborations with Larry Correia and enjoyed them immensely. I enjoyed this book as well, and look forward to more. The general plot is privateer is sent by dad to rescue her kidnapped brother. Adventure and mayhem ensues. Good characters, good action, good story, good book. Recommended.

Honor at Stake by Declan Finn
Dark Victory by Bredan DuBois

Honor at Stake is essentially good vamp versus bad vamp with a different take on how the good v. evil thing works for them. I'm not sure where this novel falls in Finn's bibliography but it reads well and works for the most part. I'd definitely like to read a sequel and will probably take a hard look at any of his non Pope books.

DeBois is apparently a long time novelist that has totally slipped by me. I got this alien invasion novel with one of Baen's bundles and it sat in the queue a bit. Wish I gotten into it quicker now. Well written, well thought out, and moves quickly. I'll definitely be looking into more by this guy.

Both books are recommended.

When the bad guys disembark in Lagos, Cap identifies their weapons as AR-15s and they open up with full auto. It's Hollywood and Disney. I should expect the assault weapons bullshit. Still, go see it. These are extremely minor things.

A troubled young man is sent to live with his grandmother on a remote Australian island, and he comes of age and finds his place in the world. There are fantasy elements as he has a connection to Faery, but I think the story might have worked as well without it. Freer is in his element here. This is an enjoyable book. Read it. I liked this and recommend it highly.
