My wife asks...

...why our daughter can't date normal guys. This is his family "cat". Tam, don't drool.

Gun Free Zones

It's not worked anywhere else so why not try it again, only harder? Isn't that a definition of insanity: trying the same thing over and over but expecting a different result.

Well I know what I'm doing later.

Watching Lady Magdalene's by J. Neil Schulman. Schulman is a damn fine writer of pro-gun and pro-liberty fiction and non-fiction.

Oh, and, the movie, it's free.

Local Elections

The position of Mayor is up for grabs come November 8th in the City of Durham. Williams Bell and Sylvester Williams are running for the office. I know nothing about "Pastor" Williams' position on the Second Amendment, but William Bell is a member of Mikey Bloomberg's Mayors Against Legal Illegal Guns. His position is obvious.

I live outside the city limits and can't vote in the election. Those of you that are concerned about gun rights and live inside the Durham City limits need to go and vote him out. "Pastor" Williams can't be any worse, and these off year elections have small turn outs. A few votes can make a major difference. Go vote already.

These are also two referendums to raise the sales tax in Durham County. They'll make us the most heavily taxed county in North Carolina. I'm already paying them too damn much and voted no in the early voting. Please go do the same.

HR822: National Right-to-Carry-Reciprocity Act

I'll admit I've got a few concerns about the FED getting into the business of concealed carry reciprocity, but the fact that Mayor Mikey and MAIG are agin it makes a damn good argument in my mind that those concerns are just my mild paranoia in regard to the FED. If he's agin it. I'm for it. Call your representatives and let them know where you stand.

Mexican President Felipe Calderon...

...is pissed because our government returns Mexican Nationals who commit crimes here in the U. S. back to Mexico. Seriously? If you don't want them back, build a wall. Pound sand Mr. Calderon.

Those weren't the first words to come to mind when I read this story but they are the more polite.

...people who have screwed up will be held accountable.

Really? The question of course is who are you talking about. The guys who pushed Fast and Furious to push their gun control agenda? That would be Eric Holder and you Mr. President. Or are you talking about the whistle blowers who outed your asses?

I have my suspicions.

If it effects my ability to exercise my Second Amendment rights...

...it damn well is a Second Amendment issue. My ability to purchase ammunition effects my ability to use my firearms. The Federal Government can be trusted with a list of what ammunition I buy like they can be trusted with a list of the firearms I own. That's not at all. Finally, my rights aren't subject to what occurs south of the border. There are laws in place to deal with exporting ammunition already. We don't need more regulating ammo sales within our borders.

Romney for President

I might as well vote for Obama. I really don't see any difference between a Republican in love with Big Government and a Democrat. Romney as President will not fix one damn thing. Borepatch offers his opinion here, and I can't argue with one bit of what he has to say.

A couple of items...

It seems to me that death threats against this lady would be a bit unwise and fatal.

The Call of Cthulhu by Dr. Seuss. Awesome in a sorta dirturbing way.

H/T to Borepatch on both.

Forty-four years ago today...

...Ernesto “Che” Guevara got his just deserts.

Oh, and here's the t-shirt for the discerning wannabe Communist who's "Che" shirt is in the laundry. Oops, that assumes that anyone who would own or wear one does laundry or bathes or...

This is great...

...and even better, after this, Eric Holder may be on the way out. Ha!

Borepatch posted...

...this over at his place. Call it a primer on the Global Warming debate. Good stuff.

Happy Birthday...

Kindle Fire

The more I look at the ads the more I like it, but that's two hundred dollars I could put toward a gun.

I also noticed the prices on the standard Kindles have dropped as long as you don't mind ads on the screen saver.
